We embrace a way of life that is shaped by relationships, the land, and the One who made it all.
Where it started
We both grew up working with our parents in small business and Christian ministry, and longed for a way for our three daughters to have that experience. From a very early age, Bryan was with his dad on the tractor, planting vegetables, or climbing on roofs as a chimney sweep. Hannah’s long background in food service and hospitality honed a knack for coaxing a little extra beauty out of everything, from sourdough to friendships.
Nearly everything we’ve learned in life has been through apprenticeship, and Christmas tree farming is no exception. As we prayed about direction for our farm, Dr. James Robinson of Danville Farms graciously took us under his wing. We planted, sheared, pruned and cultivated alongside his family, and after several years of practice, we planted our first field of trees in 2021.
Today, three generations work alongside each other on our farm. Our daughters are learning how to run a small business, about trusting God for rain in a drought, and the delayed gratification of growing trees. We also hire local youth to work alongside us, so we can share the joy of farming with them. It’s a gift to be able to work the land, await the provision of our Creator, and participate in the nurture of Creation.
